More store openings planned
The first 470 sqm Hema store in Toulouse will open in the rue des Changes, filled with Hema’s regular array of 5,000 products. The store area will be sectioned into different worlds, like an office, bathroom, decoration area, a children’s area and one destined for accessories.
The company had been looking for a suitable location in Toulouse for two years: it felt it was important that the store was located in the city center, with lots of traffic allowing for a constant stream of customers.
Anthony Giron, Hema France’s general manager, says there are already two store openings planned for 2016 and that more may follow. Hema wants to have between 100 and 200 French stores and is already looking at other cities in the region, like Montpellier and Nîmes.
