French pop-up chain King Colis has opened a temporary store to sell lost e-commerce packages in Antwerp. It is both a lottery draw and a circular story, the retailer says. Co-founder Killian Denis sees the irony of the model: “Even our own packages get lost sometimes.”

Dozens of customers were queuing at opening time in Antwerp’s Grand Bazar Shopping Center, to discover the French startup that sells lost online orders as surprise packs to stop them from getting destroyed. King Colis aims to sell a whopping ten tonnes of packages this way. It is not the first store abroad for the company, after temporary stores in Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden.
