MyCardWallet introduces an app for loyalty cards. After a purchase, a quick smartphone scan with the app will let customers save up points that way and retailers can use the system to offer discounts to customers.
Fill wallets with card information
MyCardWallet gives app content present on many smartphones to companies and organizations alike. “This includes Wallet, PassWallet and Pass2You”, Fred Diepeveen said. He launched MyCardWallet alongside Pieter Monkelbaan and Freek Diepeveen.
“We want to fill the wallet with information about store passes and discount passes. Membership information for museums, wholesale activities, sports organizations or entry tickets for theathers, concerts and other venues are an options as well.”
MCardWallet hopes to service about 40 % of the Dutch market next year, which should equate to at least 50 million passes and tickets. “We are also looking towards the Belgian, German, Danish and UK wholesale market, which is a huge market for membership cards.”
“In the Netherlands, about 3 centimeters of an average wallet contains plastic customer cards and discount cards. Digital loyalty programs save room, are environmentally friendly and safe”, Diepeveen said. “A digital solution saves plastic and paper, two things that just seem to pile up and which cost companies a lot of money”.
Improve customer communication
According to Diepeveen, MyCardWallet will facilitate the communication between companies and their customers, making it more personal, just-in-time and just-what-you-need. Smartphone users will be able to go about their business without the need for a wallet thanks to the app.
”Whenever people have a digital pass, they want more of it and the customer relationship improves. It seems people find it better to have all of their passes in one spot and that regular updates are very much appreciated. The consumer loves it when he can instantly see his points or his cash levels.”
