Profit rose more than 50 %
Cushman & Wakefield has reached a 2.5 billion dollars (1.8 billion euro) gross turnover for 2013, which is a 21.9 % increase. Net profit rose an astonishing 60.4 % to 46.2 million dollars (33.5 million euro). “In 2013, C&W capitalized on the market’s strength to post the highest gross revenue in the firm’s history”, CEO Edward Forst jubilated.
The turnover growth came on the back of an increase of real estate properties. For the first time ever, the total area reached above 93 million sqm worldwide, a 17.1 % increase. The remarkable growth came through several large new clients: Citigroup’s American real estate portfolio came to C&W, while it became British Airways’ preferred partner throughout the world.
