DYI chain Hubo’s CEO Erwin Van Osta provided a spark with his impressive 3D projection. “Hubo is the Colruyt of the DIY industry”, he added. “We are going to create a vertical marketplace. We want to become Hubol.com, because that is the future.”
Three female CEOs (Anja Maes of fashion group FNG; Helen Willems of beauty chain Di and Carla Velghe of Dutch Hema) emphasized the importance of people in retail. Jorg Snoeck, co-author of Management Book of the Year The Future of Shopping talked to Alexa and had a drone deliver an online order live on stage.
