Roland Palmer, who was promoted to general manager of Alibaba for the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries, now also takes charge of the Belgian branch.
The road to China
As of today, Palmer will also be responsible for Alibaba’s activities in Belgium, as he announced himself to RetailDetail. The manager now has the entire Benelux under his belt: last month the Chinese retail group already announced that Palmer became general manager for the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries.
The manager has been working at Alibaba since 2016. He helped dozens of companies from the Benelux find their way to the immense Chinese market, through the platform Tmall Global. Later, he also led the payment company Alipay in Europe.
