Price over speed
E-commerce is no longer booming, but it is becoming more established. Research for Descartes among 8,000 consumers in Europe and North America shows that shoppers expect to make half of all purchases online next year. In the United Kingdom (59 %) and North America (52 %), consumers even think they are more likely to buy online than in a physical shop.
Interestingly, the adage “the faster the better” turns out to be not quite true.
