A Belgian pilot to deliver parcels more sustainably has resulted in up to 40 % fewer delivery vans in the neighbourhoods involved, but that was not the only interesting conclusion of the trial.
Less traffic, more sustainability

Online orders were not delivered directly to consumers’ homes, but they were delivered to a hub of a local, sustainable delivery service, which then took care of the last mile by cargo bike.
