Digital transformation is high on the agenda at Casa International: the Belgian retailer has decided to end the door-to-door delivery of paper leaflets. Moreover, it is also launching a digital loyalty programme.
Digital catalogue
Last year, Casa still distributed a paper leaflet almost every month in more than ten million letterboxes in eight European countries. That comes at a high cost and has a big impact on the environment, so the interior decoration chain has decided to change course and stop distributing leaflets door-to-door. From now on, the chain will launch a digital catalogue on its website every season. In-store customers can still take home a paper catalogue if they wish, but its circulation is thus drastically reduced.
At the same time, Casa is discontinuing the paper stamp card, replacing it with its new loyalty programme Casa Friends. The digital loyalty card will allow customers who join to enjoy extra benefits, exclusive promotions and discounts.
The decoration chain with 500 shops in eight European countries has been reviewing its collection, shop concept, positioning and e-commerce strategy in recent years. CEO Giane Van Landuyt will tell more about this at the RetailDetail Congress, which takes place on Thursday 20 April at De Blikfabriek in Antwerp.
