Belgian kitchen specialist èggo is investing 25 million euros to boost turnover from 170 to 250 million euros by 2030. 25 additional showrooms are planned in Belgium and Spain.
New headquarters
The kitchen retailer recently brought all its administrative and logistics activities together in new headquarters in Namur, but that move is just one step as part of a wider growth plan, CEO Frédéric Taminiaux says. With an investment of 25 million euros, èggo aims to reach a turnover of 250 million euros by 2030 and hire 180 employees.
Currently, the kitchen maker accounts for an annual turnover of 170 million euros – which doubled in ten years – with 650 employees and 350 partner placements. The company completes more than 20,000 customer projects every year.
Expansion projects
The group now looks towards expansion to continue its growth, aiming to add five new showrooms in Belgium. All 56 shops in the country are being renovated to a new concept that highlights all furnishing solutions of the èggo brand: not only kitchens – although they remain the flagship – but also solutions for storage, bathrooms or dressing rooms. Even bookcases are possible.
èggo’s ambitions are not limited to Belgium, however: the brand already has thirteen showrooms in Spain but wants to add twenty over the next five years. Spain is a promising market for the brand, with nearly twenty million households and currently very few active kitchen builders.
