Belgian kitchen manufacturer èggo celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, and the party mood causes the company to look forward to the next few years: it will launch a new store formula and continue its international expansion.
10 million euro investment
In the next three years, èggo will invest ten million euro, including to expand its new Kitchen Houses store formula, which will house 15 to 25 kitchens. The entire area is more spacious, with a large island where customers can shape their own kitchen thanks to several digital tools.
“Digital tools open up new opportunities and experiences, like virtual reality. Couples and families often choose a kitchen and we prefer a customer to have a joint experience on a large touch screen instead of alone with a VR mask. Nevertheless, that will also be an option”, CEO Frédéric Taminiaux.
The stores in Wavre, Rocourt and Erpent will welcome the new store formula first and the rest of the store network will be remodeled in the next three years.
Expansion in Spain and the Netherlands
The company will alter several things online: it will launch a new website to inspire customers and to help them track everything regarding their ordered kitchen in real-time.
èggo also seeks further international expansion. It already has four Spanish stores, but it wants to add another four to five every year. That should lead to thirty stores in five years’ time. It will also its first Dutch store in 2018: that is why Goossen Foppen has become its Dutch country manager. The company will also expand its Luxembourg product range with custom-fit storage solutions. It already has two stores there.
