ChatGPT can now help with designing your Ikea interior. The furniture chain is launching its own AI assistant, which helps you design your kitchen and gives product advice.
Artificially intelligent interior tips
In the familiar ChatGPT chat window, consumers can get personalised furniture and decoration suggestions, based on factors such as room dimensions, personal style, durability preferences, budget and functional requirements.
Customers can ask questions like “Show me a cozy living room layout for a small apartment with the use of sustainable materials”, search the catalogue or be shown instant information on availability in different locations. The system is additionally fed with examples of real-life home transformations and tips from decorators.
Currently, the tool is only available to GPT Plus users in the United States, but Ikea plans to expand to more markets where ChatGPT is available during the year. Perhaps the AI assistant will later get a life outside the OpenAI site, as Global Chief Digital Officer Parag Parekh calls it an ongoing initiative.
