Only in Finland for now
“Ikea Leasing is an easy and affordable way to invest into a company’s interior design”, Ikano Bank Finland’s country director Ulla Parkkali told our colleagues at Planet Retail. Companies will not have to dip into their own cash reserves, while the rent can be deducted from their taxes.
The leasing contract can also be easily adjusted when the company expands for example and similarly to car leasing plans, the renting party can decide to extend the agreement when it ends, buy the furniture or replace the items with new ones.
Special about this arrangement is that companies can also rent plants, wall decorations and even kitchen gear for a fixed fee per month. Ikea did not divulge whether it was planning to expand this service to other countries as well, although it seems highly likely seeing how Ikea is trying to gain a foothold in the office decoration branch with “solutions that can help a company grow”.
