Voltaire, a French manufacturer of electric bikes, is now also active in Belgium: the brand has opened its first shop in Brussels. It is only its second store outside of France.
Fourth store
With the inauguration of its first Belgian shop, on Antoine Dansaert Street in Brussels, Voltaire.bike is now really taking off in Belgium. Voltaire was founded five years ago by Gabriel Ecalle et Grégoire Lieurade, who aim to differentiate themselves from brands such as Cowboy or VanMoof by offering bikes with a retro design, inspired by designs from the 1950s and 1960s. The range currently includes three models: two for women, one for men.
The brand sells those bikes mainly online, including through a leasing model, and through 200 partners in fifteen countries. Voltaire also has four of its own stores: two in Paris, one in Seoul and now one in Brussels.
