Belgian fashion house Xandres has found a new CEO: Dutchman Willem Wijnen takes over from CFO Pieter Van Dyck, who held the position of CEO ad interim.
Impressive track record
Wijnen has an impressive track record in the fashion sector, featuring executive positions at Van de Velde, North Sail Apparel, The Sting and Men at Work, among others. He succeeds Patrick Desrumaux, who left the fashion retailer in June. Rather, he left the whole sector after eight years for a job at Lyreco Benelux, a wholesaler of office supplies.
“Xandres is poised for a new chapter of growth”, the company reports on LinkedIn. “The brand has strengthened its position, establishing itself as a leader in high-quality fashion with a focus on sustainability and inclusivity.” The Belgian company thanks Van Dyck for taking over temporarily in the past six months, but looks forward to “further elevate our position in the international affordable luxury market.”
