The goal is to show that the quality of clothing on Taobao is adequate, after Alibaba had received plenty of complaints about the quality of its online product range. If customers react positively to the pilot program, Alibaba is considering expanding the service on a larger scale.
Alibaba and Uber’s collaboration is surprising to say to the least as the online giant has invested huge sums in Uber competitors, like American Lyft and the Chinese KuaiDi Taxi.
