American online retailer Amazon wants to assist European sellers with their logistical process, whenever orders have to go across borders. These products will then be available in Amazon’s distribution centers.
To sell to each European customer
From now on, European sellers can send their products to one of Amazon’s 29 European distribution centers. Whenever someone sells one of these items on Amazon, the American company will take care of the process. “Our mission is to help each European seller to sell to every European customer“, Amazon’s director of European seller services, Francois Saugier, told Internet Retailer.
Amazon will now compete with local European logistic companies that already handle shipments for these articles. The company has said, on several occasions, that it wants to create a worldwide network and handle the entire logistical process itself.
