Amazon is set to launch its own cooking show in Japan, with a chef who prepares several local specialties. Viewers can order several dishes from the show directly on Amazon.
Only for Prime subscribers
Not every dish will be available for purchase and only Japanese residents (and those from several unannounced territories) will be able to access this new service. The show will include dishes from all across Japan, but will only be available on Prime Video, a service that only Amazon Prime subscribers can access.
The cooking show trial is Amazon’s next step to convince customers that one-click orders are a good idea. Similarly, it spent a great deal of attention on Amazon Dash, a device that lets you buy a particular item with the press of a button.
