Furious reactions
During the weekend, several articles on The Washington Post have received a “buy it now”- button. Some readers were linked to a book mentioned in the article, but several hours later, the links were removed. However, it is not unlikely that these buttons may return permanently in the future.
A designer from The New York Times got things going with a tweet in which he expressed his dissatisfaction, while others found it a good and useful addition.
Jeff Bezos bought the ailing newspaper nearly a year ago for some 250 million dollars (190 million euro) and there was a lot of speculation at that time what the repercussions might be. Up until now, there had been no clear link between both companies.
