Jeremy Clarkson shows off new Amazon drone
This new Amazon drone should be able to travel 25 kilometers at a height of 120 meters and the biggest change in design is how it carries the package. Previously, packages were held underneath the drone, but this new design stores the package inside the bowels of the drone itself.
Sensors should help the drone avoid obstacles and once it reaches its destination, the drone will look for a suitable place to land. In the reveal video, Amazon shows how a customer can also point out a suitable location, by placing a card with Amazon logo on the floor. Once the drone delivers the package to the right location, a message will be sent to the customer, informing him of the drop-off.
Amazon also recently signed a deal with the people from Top Gear, to create a new motoring show for the internet giant and it is not unsurprising to hear Jeremy Clarkson explain how the new drone will function.
