Dutch Amazon.de customers will now be able to browse the site in their own native language. Customer service is now also made available in Dutch.
“Even more accessible”
“We are thrilled that we can make Amazon.de even more accessible for our Dutch-speaking customers, who can now shop in their native language. This brings us one step closer to our vision to help customers buy everything they need on all of our European websites, without any barrier”, Amazon.de’s country manager, Ralf Kleber, said.
The website’s navigation, the customer service, the most popular help pages, the account page, order and shipping information have all been translated into Dutch. Millions of product names have already been translated as well, but the company will keep translating even more.
Customers have to click the globe at the top of the page and change the language to Dutch if they want to surf in that particular language. It is the second time Amazon.de receives a translation, following an English translation in 2015. The goal with this translation is to attract more customers from the Netherlands.
