New warehouse in Cologne
To better support its Dutch website, it will open a call center and a small distribution center in Utrecht which should help service plenty of customers with its most popular items. The remainder will be sent from a new distribution center near Cologne, which will also become the main office for its operations in mainland Europe.
In the first half of its fiscal year, Ao.com’s turnover reached 375 million euro, mostly from the United Kingdom. Germany contributed 22 million euro, but its total turnover is 22 % better than in the same time frame last year.
CEO John Roberts wants to become a market leader in every market he enters with Ao.com.
