Delivery on the next day
De Bijenkorf has not created a Belgium-focused web shop, but has made it easier to order online. If a customer orders prior to 21h, then it will be delivered the next day, in Belgium as well. Delivery costs are 4.95 euro, but if customers pick it up at a Kiala point, they will only pay 3.95 euro.
The company says it has now answered a longstanding request from Belgian customers and Dutch people living in Belgium. Particularly the stores in the south of the Netherlands attract a lot of visitors from across the border. Expanding the web shop to Belgium fits De Bijenkorf’s new strategy, which focuses on omnichannel.
