Content known in September
When it announced the quality label last year, it put forth a January 2015 deadline, but it has now launched it 6 months later. An international quality label has been a goal ever since Ecommerce Europe was founded in 2012.
The quality label will not only be granted to large companies, but should also be available for smaller web shops. It remains to be seen what the label will contain exactly, but that should be revealed in September. It is very probably that it is a self-regulatory measure for all web shops, while Ecommerce Europe wants to keep costs as low as possible.
Both the Dutch Thuiswinkel.org and the Belgian becommerce are part of the Ecommerce Europe organization.
