Designers that sell their products on Etsy’s online marketplace will soon be able to show their products in several Parisian department stores, like Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais.

French designers will be on display in BHV Marais from 13 April to 7 May and then from 6 June until the end of December in Galeries Lafayette, which will give Etsy designers the option to showcase their creations on the sixth floor of its Boulevard Haussman department store.
The two French department stores have decided to enter a collaboration with Etsy after the online platform successfully opened its own French pop-up stores, where more than 200 designers put their products on display for 35,000 visitors. France is Etsy’s second largest market, trailing the English-speaking market.
Etsy has already entered collaborations with several shopping chains in the United States, with display options in Macy’s and Whole Foods.
Etsy, launched in 2005, already has 54 million registered users and 1.5 million active sellers. Its 2014 turnover, gathered almost entirely from vintage and home-made items, reached 1.73 billion euro.
