Lyall will become part of Tesco’s multichannel team and report to Robin Terrell. Lyall has worked with Terrell for 4 years at Amazon, where he was in charge for the company’s fulfilment centers for 12 years. Prior to that, Lyall had been Apple’s director of fulfilment in Paris.
He will now focus on customer deliveries, the click-and-collect service and the development and expansion of the future customer service. “Offering the broadest range of convenient fulfilment options which suit customers’ busy lifestyles is key to success in today’s fast-changing retail world, and I’m excited by the opportunity to help Tesco lead the way in offering the next generation of delivery and collection choices to its customers”, Lyall said about his new position.
