Double in turnover expected
Windeln is already active in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with plans to open online stores in Spain, Italy and Belgium. It also acquired Czech Feedo early last month, which in turn gave it access to the Polish, Czech and Slovakian markets.
Bebitus, founded in Spain in 2011, expanded into France in 2013 and added Portugal to that list in 2014. Last year’s turnover reached seven million euro, a number it expects to double this year. Windeln paid 5 million euro for the acquisition and depending on its performance over the next few years, that sum may increase.
