Entire product range
Google Express already handles food products, alongside a plethora of other products, but it did not deliver fresh food at home yet. Google is currently collaborating with several partners to deliver at home, but it was not able to tackle a store’s entire product range as it did not deliver any fresh food. That is exactly why it has now decided to do so, starting with a trial period in San Francisco and one other American city.
With this move, Google is once again clashing with its major competitor Amazon, which has its own Amazon Fresh service to deliver fresh food at home. Amazon is even moving the service to the United Kingdom and is even planning an entry into the French market.
