In China since 2010
Stradivarius has been in China since 2010 and currently has 68 stores in forty cities, but now Chinese consumers can also visit its web shop at stradivarius.tmall.com. Another Inditex label, Zara, already has its own web shop on Alibaba Group’s business-to-consumer platform, which allegedly welcomes more than 400 million customers and assembles 50,000 web shops with more than 70,000 international brands.
Zara’s smaller sibling, Stradivarius, is present in 53 countries and has 794 boutiques worldwide. Inditex itself has 501 stores in China already, with its 63rd Pull&Bear store opening only last week in Shanghai. With this number of stores, China is the company’s third largest market, trailing only its native country of Spain and Russia.
