Meermann
worked for Zalando for three years. He was responsible for all national
websites of the group. His job was to raise brand recognition as high as
possible and to increase sales to its maximum.
At Zalando
Meermann will be replaced by Swiss Arne Schenker, who worked as marketing
manager for Procter & Gamble in his home country last year.
Zalando,
which had sales of 1.2 billion euro in 2012, using the switch to change its
centralised marketing approach towards a more local approach of its markets.
