No auctions
Media Markt will have more than 52,000 products for sale in its eBay store, while Saturn has more than 41,000 – although both stores will keep adding new items in the future. Unlike most offers on eBay, no auctions will be held with these products. They will all have a fixed price.
“eBay is a very interesting sales channel for Media-Saturn. It will open up our product range to more than 16 million potential customers“, CEO Wolfgang Korsch told German Internetworld. Evidently, both Media Markt and Saturn will keep their physical presence, alongside the eBay store.
It is Saturn’s second German collaboration with eBay, as it already has an online eBay outlet for 12 of its stores.
