Divorce leads to demise
Andrew and Sarah Curran founded my-wardrobe.com in 2006, selling mainly clothes from luxury brands. It experienced huge growth at first, but it went downhill after the couple divorced and left the company in 2011. Andrew Curran came back for a short spell, but decided to leave once more in March 2014.
Because it had financial difficulties for quite a while, it was sold to Groth Capital Acquisitions last year, but that group sees no more future in My-wardrobe.com and has sold it to Net-a-porter. It is currently unclear what Net-a-porter will do with the website.
Customers who have placed an order before its closure, will still get their order and can also still return the package if needed. The company’s London-based physical store will remain open until the end of January 2015.
