One internet company after the other
The consulting company’s new CEO, French Charles-Edouard Bouée, was the one to announce the joint venture with Rocket Internet. Roland Berger Strategy Consultants will collaborate with Alexander and Oliver Samwer to “create a super incubator for large enterprises, which will operate as a factory that will launch one company after another, all based on a digital business model”, Bouée said.
Remarkable fact is that founder Roland Berger is part of Rocket Internet’s board of directors, the company which helped create Zalando. Rocket Internet had already announced back in November that it wanted to launch at least 10 different start-ups next year, which did not even include the new companies which may originate from the joint venture with Roland Berger.
