Better supply management
The robots in the store will most likely be used to find products and bring those to the customer. As the average Target store is relatively large, this robot-powered service would be a welcome addition for all customers, particularly for the elderly and those customers with a handicap.
The collaboration also has to boost Target’s web shop a bit more, especially on the back of new technologies. The company definitely needs radical improvements in its supply management and delivery services. An entirely new supply infrastructure is also required, which has to make sure that stock levels are at a satisfactory level and that orders can be taken care of in a speedy fashion.
