TEDi is accelerating its growth in Belgium, planning to open four additional stores in the coming weeks. The German non-food discounter has set some ambitious long-term goals: 300 locations in Belgium, 10,000 across Europe.
Rapid expansion
Since launching in Tongeren in June 2023, TEDi has been steadily expanding its presence in Belgium. Last autumn, the company acquired ten stores from the bankrupt Bristol chain, bringing its total number of Belgian stores to twenty. The upcoming openings in Hornu, Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, Merksem and Sint-Truiden will further increase its footprint.
TEDi’s long-term objective is to operate 300 stores in Belgium. On a broader scale, the non-food retailer even sees a potential for of up to 10,000 stores across Europe.
