Additional service for Zalon users
Zalando’s Zalon service launched in spring 2015 and enabled customers to send in their fashion preferences online. Based on their demands, a package is delivered to their front door, compiled by the company’s stylists. Every item the customer dislikes, can be returned for free and only the items they want to keep, have to be paid.
The online clothing seller now wants to push things forwards: every Zalon subscriber, whether a customer of Zalando or not, will be able to talk to stylists during the day. The service is free and 150 stylists will be available for advice. They can help choose an outfit for a particular event or they can refer them to a local store. No actual sales are linked to the service, but Zalando obviously hopes to gain some sort of advantage out of it.
Zalando will launch the Zalon service in Germany first, but will also expand it soon. This summer, a spokesperson said that the Netherlands would soon follow, without an actual confirmed date.
