Growth in all markets
2013 turnover grew 27 % to 426.9 million euro, with a 4.9 million euro profit, compared to a 1.8 million euro loss the year before. Growth was also achieved in every market, as home market Germany managed an 11 % turnover increase to 143.9 million euro and he Netherlands grew 27 % increase to 35.9 million euro. Belgian turnover almost doubled, from 8.2 million to 14 million euro.
Zooplus hopes to keep this going in 2014, in order to breach the 500 million euro barrier. To achieve that, it will focus on expanding the current markets and on its second brand ‘bitiba’.
