Preliminary first quarter numbers of online pet store Zooplus show a 28 % turnover growth to 217 million euro. The shop maintains its full-year turnover forecast of at least 875 million euro.
Better than its own forecast
Zooplus even outperformed its own full-year growth forecast with its current 28 % growth. “Pet food, which is particularly important for our sustainable growth, reported an increase in sales of 31%. Furthermore, double-digit growth rates were generated in all countries”, CEO Cornelius Patt said.
Zooplus reported a 30 % turnover increase in its fiscal year 2015, owing to a huge growth in the number of customers. In 2015, Zooplus had 4 million active customers, including 2 million new customers.
The full results for 2016’s first quarter will be published on 19 May.
