French kitchen retail group FBD saw its sales decline in 2024, but albeit a slower one than the total kitchen market’s. For this year, the group announces international ambitions.
Offensive in Spain
The Franchise Business Division group (FBD for short) has realised 811 million euros in sales last year. Although that was a 1.9 % decline, the group says it still outperformed the market (which was down 7 % in France), French business medium LSA reports. FBD carries chains like Cuisine Plus, Cuisines Références, Ixina and Vanden Borre Kitchen.
For this year, FBD is counting on a 6.5 % growth, helped by the opening of 51 new shops, notably in Spain, where the retailer launched late last year. The retailer, which also focuses growth efforts on Costa Rica, Peru and Qatar, currently has 552 shops in twenty countries.
