MAIN PROGRAM

Consumers expect online payments to be instant, easy and secure. Merchants expect online payments to be attractive and convenient, while continuing to manage and track their customers. With the accelerating growth of e-commerce, we need to rethink online card payments. After all, the PSD2 directive has strengthened security, but has also introduced new challenges. Visa’s experts Sèvrine Dagousset and Virginie Ansanay will explain the power of tokenisation in the e-commerce and omnichannel ecosystem and introduce Click-To-Pay as the new standard of e-commerce payment experience.

Pet store chain Tom&Co significantly strengthened its e-commerce activities last year with the acquisition of Pharmapets, Belgium’s largest online pet pharmacy, which also operates in other European countries. What are the next steps? Sven De Waele reveals some ambitious plans.

Kruidvat is not only one of the most present retail brands in the high streets, but also one of the most visited retail websites in the Benelux. A good year ago, Kruidvat Marketplace went live: the online marketplace is expanding its offer considerably. We get a first review from Nico Borst, manager e-commerce at A.S. Watson Benelux.

Successful retailers combine online and offline channels, build strong communities and continuously innovate to stay relevant. In this keynote, you will discover how innovative omnichannel strategies, smart partnerships and customer-centric marketing are shaping the future of retail. Bol shows how retail is going beyond transactions and betting on long-term customer relationships, new business models and sustainable growth. In addition, speakers zoom in on the impact of increasing competition and regulation.

For Decathlon, omnichannel has been a reality for some time, but one that called for thorough supply chain reforms. The retailer faces significant logistics and sustainability challenges, we hear from Koen Tengrootenhuysen, Director Public Affairs Europe at Decathlon.

Europe’s fragmented payment landscape forces merchants to navigate a complex web of local solutions. Learn, together with Alfredo Prieto, Director Business Acceptance, how Wero is addressing this challenge by streamlining the migration of domestic schemes like Payconiq and iDEAL, simplifying payment acceptance with one integration, and shaping the future of European payments. Commerce today is seamless and connected payments should be too. Wero’s consent model unlocks every use case, from single immediate payments to subscriptions, enabling a truly omnichannel experience across online, in-store, and in-app transactions. Join us to explore how Wero is making omnichannel a reality – bringing flexibility, efficiency, and innovation to merchants across Europe.

During XXL Nutrition and CM.com‘s inspiring session, Max and Bram reveal how they have taken customer service to new heights. Thanks to CM.com’s AI-driven Engagement Platform, they are no longer just service agents, but true personal nutrition advisers. Discover how advanced AI technology supports them in providing tailored advice that goes beyond standard product questions. With automated processes and advanced data usage, they effortlessly respond to unique customer needs, leading to unprecedented customer satisfaction and loyalty. Be inspired by their story of innovation and customer focus in the food world.

How can a Belgian family-owned business continue to prosper thanks to digitisation and omnichannel marketing, even in challenging market conditions? Anouck Van der Herten, head of e-commerce at shoe retailer Torfs, brings a wealth of retail experience (including Hubo and Lidl) to the RetailDetail E-commerce & Omnichannel Congress. During her keynote, Anouck will share her vision of how Torfs is taking customer experience and operational efficiency to the next level, not least through digitalisation and robotisation.

Who else is better placed than Gino Van Ossel to chair this Omnichannel & E-Commerce Congress? The professor of Retail & Trade Marketing at Vlerick Business School is considered one of Europe’s top experts on retail, is a much in-demand speaker and author of the standard works ‘Omichannel in retail – The answer to e-commerce’ and ‘Optichannel Retail – Beyond the digital hysteria’.
